THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST
The cast of The Wizard of Oz got a refresh for Halloween 2011. In order to make this classic vignette new again, a group of friends switched the characters' gender with redesigns them to match. The Wicked Witch was revamped with an evil magician vibe complete with a Las Vegas style overhaul. All of the sequins and beading were hand applied which was my first foray into the art of tambour embroidery.
